What using VizShot is like

  • At home on a PC

It installs from the Microsoft Store and lives in the tray. Press Ctrl+Shift+2, drag, and the picture is copied and saved.

  • A clean editor

Thirteen tools with one key each, and nothing on screen you do not need. The picture stays in front.

  • Nothing to sign up for

No account and no sign-in. Install it and start.

  • Tested on both systems

Every release gets a full pass on a real PC and a real Mac before it ships.

Where VizShot is better

  • It runs on Windows

Shottr is made for the Mac. VizShot is the same app, with the same shortcuts, on a PC and a Mac.

  • It records the screen too

Record part of the screen as an MP4, with the computer’s sound and your microphone, and share it with a link.

  • One key for a Mac and a PC

A key covers two computers, in any mix. Keep one for the Mac at home and one for the PC at work.

Both systems

One app on your Mac and your PC.

The same capture card and the same keys on both. One key covers two computers.

Questions

Asked, and answered.

Is there a Shottr for Windows?

No. Shottr’s own site says a Windows version does not seem likely, because the app is built on parts of macOS. VizShot is a separate app by a different developer.

Can I keep Shottr on my Mac and use VizShot on my PC?

Yes. They do not get in each other’s way. If you upload to your own S3 or R2 bucket, both can use the same one.

Does VizShot run on a Mac as well?

Yes. It is the same app on both, and one key covers two computers in any mix.

What happens after the 14 days?

You get 14 days with every feature. After that, VizShot keeps taking screenshots, but saving, uploading and recording need a key.

Do I need an account?

No. Install it and start. You only give an email address when you buy a key.
