License Agreement
What you may do with the VizShot app, on a Mac or a Windows PC, whether you downloaded it from this site or got it from the Microsoft Store.
Last updated 12 October 2026.
The agreement
This is an agreement between you and Neel Gajjar, who makes VizShot (“we”). VizShot is licensed to you, not sold. By installing or using it you accept this agreement. If you got VizShot from the Microsoft Store, this agreement is between you and us, not Microsoft, and Microsoft is not responsible for the app.
What you may do
- Install and use VizShot free for 14 days to try it, with every feature. After that, VizShot keeps taking screenshots, but saving, uploading and recording need a key.
- With a license key, use VizShot on up to two computers at a time, Mac or Windows in any mix, for personal or work use, with no expiry date, subject to the suspension and termination rules below.
- Move a key to another computer by deactivating or removing an old one first.
- Keep the rights you already have in your captures. VizShot claims no ownership of them; other people’s rights still apply.
What you may not do
- Publish, resell, rent or pool your key among unrelated users, or exceed its computer limit. Gifts and assignments allowed by the Terms of Service are permitted.
- Get around the trial, the computer limit or the license checks, or help someone else to.
- Copy, change or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
- Remove or change notices of ownership in the app.
- Use VizShot to break the law, including laws about recording people or protected content.
Activation and checks
To activate a key, VizShot contacts our license service, and it checks in about once a day while it runs. An activated copy can work offline while its signed activation record is valid. That record currently lasts 60 days from the last successful activation or renewal; a successful check renews it. After it expires, the app needs to reconnect to confirm the key before it can show an active license again. This is an activation check, not an expiry date or renewal fee for your purchased license. Activation and moving a key to another computer depend on the license service being available. The Privacy Policy explains what these checks send; they never include your captures.
Problem reports and usage counts
VizShot tells us nothing about how you use it unless you choose that. “Report a problem” sends a report only when you press Send, and “Show what will be sent” lets you read the log part first. “Help improve VizShot” is a switch that is off until you turn it on: while it is on, the app sends a daily count of what was used and, after a crash, where it crashed. You can turn it off at any time, and VizShot works the same either way. The Privacy Policy lists what each one sends, what is never sent, and how long we keep it. Neither ever includes your captures.
What you put in a report is up to you. Please leave out passwords, storage keys and other people’s private information. The Terms of Service say how we may use what you send.
Updates
The Mac app checks for new versions and installs them when you agree (you can turn the check off in Settings). The Microsoft Store updates the Windows app. Updates may change or improve features. This agreement covers them.
Your license includes the updates promised when it was bought or granted. An optional paid upgrade does not cancel your right to use versions already covered, and we will not charge for an update already included in your offer. The Terms of Service explain future upgrades and the meaning of a perpetual license. We do not promise a release schedule or compatibility with every future operating system; any update obligations required by law still apply.
Storage you connect
VizShot can upload captures to storage you own, such as Cloudflare R2, Amazon S3 or Backblaze B2. That service is provided by its own company under its own terms and charges, and your access keys stay in your computer’s secure credential store. We are not responsible for those services.
Open-source parts
VizShot includes open-source software used under permissive licences, such as MIT, Apache 2.0 and BSD. Those licences, not this agreement, govern those parts.
Suspension and when the license ends
The grounds, notice and human review process in the Terms of Service apply to any suspension or termination of your key, including suspected abuse, confirmed fraud, serious or repeated breaches, completed refunds and reversed payments. A disabled key no longer authorises paid use, but disabling it does not delete your existing captures.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel your license. You can reinstall and activate it again, within the computer limit, unless the key has been validly disabled. Removing or deactivating a computer frees its place for another.
Warranty and liability
VizShot is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t promise it will be free of errors, never lose data, or suit every purpose, so keep copies of anything you can’t afford to lose. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the key. These limits apply only where lawful. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability that cannot be excluded. Your mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for faulty digital content, remain unchanged.
The rest
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and you keep the consumer protections of the laws where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts. If part of it can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Changes follow the notice and consent rules in the Terms of Service and do not retrospectively reduce your existing license or update rights. Those terms and this agreement apply together, without overriding the offer under which you bought or were granted your key.
