Capture, cover, share.
From readable to hidden.
Before you share it.
A blur can be reversed. Redact can’t.
A blur or pixelation can sometimes be undone by someone with the right tools. For passwords, keys and account numbers, use Redact.
Redact is never a blur
It covers the area with solid black. Pixelate over a redacted area and it stays solid black.
Share the saved copy
Save writes the edited picture as a new file. The original is still in your captures folder, so send the new one.
The same on Mac and Windows.
Same steps, same tools. Only the shortcut changes. One key covers two computers.
Asked, and answered.
How do I blur part of a screenshot?
Open the screenshot in VizShot’s editor, press B for Pixelate and drag over the part. It turns into big blocks.
Is a blurred screenshot safe to share?
Not for secrets. A blur or pixelation can sometimes be reversed. For anything private use Redact, a solid block that cannot be undone once you save.
What is the difference between Pixelate and Redact?
Pixelate softens a region into blocks, for a face or a busy background. Redact covers it with solid black, for passwords, names and numbers.
Can I hide an email address or a password?
Yes. Press E and drag over it. Nothing of the original is visible, and once you save, nothing can be recovered from the picture.
What happens after the 14 days?
You get 14 days with every feature. After that, VizShot keeps taking screenshots, but saving, uploading and recording need a key.
