Make your own backdrop
Use your own colour, gradient or picture behind a capture, and keep up to six to use again.
On this page
Besides the five ready-made backdrops, you can make one from a colour, a gradient or a picture of your own.
In the editor, press Backdrop in the tool rail.
Under Yours, press +. "Make your own" opens.
Choose Colour, Gradient or Picture.
Nothing changes on your capture until you pick something.
A colour#
Press one of the sixteen colours, or type a code such as #0E7490 in the field. A six-digit code is used as soon as the last digit is in. A three-digit code such as #abc is used when you press Enter or click somewhere else.
A gradient#
Press From and pick a colour, then To and pick another. Choose which way it runs: down, right, down and right, or up and right.
A picture#
Press Choose a picture… and pick a PNG or JPEG. It fills the backdrop, and the middle of the picture is kept. If VizShot can't read the file it says so and leaves your backdrop as it was.
Keep it for next time#
Press Save to Yours. The backdrop gets a tile under Yours, and it's there for every capture from then on, also after you quit VizShot. You can keep six.
To remove one, point at its tile and press the small ×. Removing a tile doesn't change the capture you're working on: its backdrop stays until you choose another.
