The buttons are along the top of the editor.

Save (⌘ S)#

Saves the edited picture as a new file in your captures folder, and closes the editor. The original capture isn't touched, so you can always go back to it.

Copy (⌘ C)#

Puts the edited picture on your clipboard as a full-size PNG. The button says "Copied" for a moment, and the editor says "Image copied to clipboard".

Upload (⌘ U)#

Uploads the edited picture and copies a share link. It uploads the version with your marks, not the original. This needs storage. Without it, the editor says "Share links need storage." with Set up, which opens Settings.

After an upload, the button says Copy link. If you then change the picture, it goes back to Upload, because the old link no longer matches.

Good to know#

  • After the free trial, Save and Upload need a key. Press either and VizShot says "Your trial has ended", with Enter a key, Not now and Buy VizShot. Copy still works, and your marks stay as they are.

  • If a capture was copied but couldn't be saved, a yellow strip says "This capture isn't on disk yet. Save to keep it.", and Save is the main button.

  • If a save fails, the editor stays open and keeps your marks, with a red message saying why.

  • Closing while an upload is running isn't allowed until it finishes. The editor says "Still uploading".
