Find an earlier capture
Recent Captures shows your latest 40 as tiles. Edit, copy, upload, delete or drag any of them.
Open the VizShot menu (the menu bar on a Mac, the tray on Windows) and choose Recent Captures….
A window shows your newest 40 captures, newest first. Each tile has the picture, its name, when it was taken ("Just now", "Yesterday", "Mon") and its size.
Use Search to find one by name, or the All / Images / Videos filter.
What you can do with a tile#
Hover a tile to see its buttons:
Edit opens it in the editor at full size.
Copy puts the image on your clipboard.
Upload uploads it and copies a share link. Once a capture has a link, the button becomes Copy link, and it stays that way after you restart.
Show in Finder (Windows: Show in Explorer).
Delete moves it to the Trash (Windows: Recycle Bin). You have 4 seconds to press Undo.
You can also drag a tile into another app.
Recordings show their length and have Play instead of Edit, which opens the player. They have Upload too, with its progress on the tile while it runs, and no Copy.
Good to know#
Recent Captures is just a view of your captures folder. If you move or delete a file in Finder, it disappears from the window.
If you've edited and saved over a capture that had a link, the link badge goes away, because the link was for the old picture.
A capture that's open in the editor says "In the editor", and you can't delete it until you close the editor.
