What the little card after a capture does
The card shows your capture and has Edit, Get link and Show buttons. It goes away by itself after a few seconds.
On this page
After every capture, VizShot shows a small card in the corner of your screen. It confirms what happened and gives you quick things to do.
What's on it#
The picture, with a green check and "Image copied to clipboard".
Where it was saved, like "Saved to Pictures › VizShot".
Edit opens it in the editor. Clicking the picture does the same.
Get link uploads it and copies a share link. The card then says "Link copied to clipboard" and the button becomes Copy link, which copies it again. This needs storage.
Show in Finder (Windows: Show in Explorer) takes you to the file.
Close, or press Esc.
Before storage is set up#
Until you add storage, the link button reads Set up links. Press it and the card stops to explain: "Share links need storage", with Set up, which opens Settings at Storage, and Not now. That card waits for you. It doesn't go away by itself.
After the trial#
If your free trial has ended and there's no key on this computer, the capture is still copied, and it isn't saved. The card says "Image copied to clipboard" and "Saving needs a key", with a Buy button, and there's no Show in Finder because there's no file. Paste it wherever you need it.
It's also a handle#
Drag the picture out of the card and drop it into Slack, Mail or a folder. It goes as a file.
How long it stays#
About seven seconds, shown by a thin bar that drains. Rest your pointer on the card and the countdown pauses. Move away and it carries on. If something went wrong (a failed save or upload), the card stays until you close it.
Don't want it?#
Open Settings › Capture, find After a capture, and choose:
Show a quick preview (the card, which is the default)
Open it in the editor
Nothing else
It says it right there: "It's always copied and saved, whichever you choose."
