VizShot Get a free key

How the free trial works

Fourteen days with every feature, no card and no account. After that screenshots still work, and a key brings back saving, uploading and recording.

You get 14 days to try everything in VizShot, with every feature switched on. No card, no account. The 14 days start the first time you open VizShot, and your computer does the counting.

The day your trial started is kept on your computer and isn't sent anywhere. Removing VizShot and installing it again doesn't start the 14 days over.

Where to see the days left#

Open Settings › License. A ring shows how many days are left, and the bottom of the sidebar says things like "Trial, 14 days left".

When the trial ends#

Screenshots still work. You can take one the same way as always, and it's copied to your clipboard, ready to paste.

Three things then need a key:

  • Saving. A new screenshot isn't written to your captures folder. The little card that appears says "Image copied to clipboard" and "Saving needs a key".

  • Uploading, for share links.

  • Recording. A recording can only be saved, so VizShot asks before one starts.

If you press Save, Upload or Record, VizShot says "Your trial has ended" and offers Buy VizShot, Enter a key and Not now. That's the only time it asks. Nothing pops up when VizShot starts, and nothing counts down.

Everything you saved during the trial is still yours. It stays in your captures folder, and Recent Captures still opens, copies and deletes it.

Keep it#

A key is $8, once, for two of your computers. Buy one on the pricing page, then activate it in Settings › License. Saving, uploading and recording work again straight away.

If the pricing page offers Apply as a Founding Tester where Buy would be, keys aren't on sale yet. See what Founding Testers is.
