Activate your key
Paste the key into Settings › License and press Activate. It takes a few seconds and needs the internet once.
Open VizShot's Settings and choose License.
Under Have a key?, paste your key.
Press Activate.
When it works, the License tab says "Licensed to" with your email, shows the end of your key, and shows how many of your computers are in use, like "1 of 2".
Good to know#
Paste it straight from the email. Spaces and line breaks around it don't matter. You don't have to type the dashes yourself, and capital or small letters are both fine.
You need the internet once, to activate. After that, VizShot checks in about once a day, and works offline in between.
Activating again on the same computer doesn't use up another place. Reinstalling VizShot, or setting it up again, gives you your own place back.

If it doesn't work#

| "This key was turned off or refunded. Reply to your receipt if that is a mistake." | The key isn't active any more |
| "Can't reach VizShot. Check your connection and try again." | Your computer couldn't get online, or a firewall is in the way |
| "VizShot isn't on sale yet. This is a test build." | You're on a test build, which can't take keys. Get the app from the download page |
