Watch and share a recording
When you stop recording, the video opens in VizShot's player. Play it, then upload it and copy a link in one click.
On this page
When you press Stop, the recording opens in VizShot's own player. It's already saved, so you can close the window whenever you like.
Watch it#
Press the big Play, click the picture, or press Space. The same again pauses it.
Drag the bar to move through it. ← and → jump 5 seconds.
Mute (or M) turns the sound off and on. The speed button goes 1×, 1.5×, 2× and 0.5×.
Under the video you'll see its size, its length, how big the file is and where it was saved, with Show in Finder (Windows: Show in Explorer) and Move to Trash (Windows: Move to Recycle Bin).
Esc closes the player.
Share it#
Press Upload and copy link. This needs storage, the same as a screenshot link.
The player shows how far it has got, how much is left and "You can keep watching." Carry on playing if you like.
When it's done, the link is on your clipboard and the player says "Link copied to clipboard". Copy link copies it again.
The link ends in .mp4 and plays in a browser.
If you change your mind, or it stops#
Cancel upload stops it. Nothing is kept online.
If the connection drops, the player says "Upload stopped at" and how far it got. Press Try again and it carries on from there, not from the beginning. The video on your computer is untouched either way.
With no storage set up, the player says "Share links need storage." with Set up, which opens Settings.
You can close the player while it uploads. The upload carries on, and Recent Captures shows its progress and then the link.
Choose what happens after a recording#
In Settings › Recording, After a recording has three choices:
Open it in the player (the default)
Show the bar only, which leaves the small "Saved" bar with Play and Upload on it (Set up links until storage is set up)
Do nothing
It says it right there: "It's always saved, whichever you choose."
To upload every recording without asking, switch on Upload recordings automatically in the same pane. It's off by default, because recordings are large.
Open one later#
In Recent Captures, a recording's tile has Play, which opens it in the player, and Upload.
