Set up Backblaze B2
Make a public bucket, make an application key, and paste the details into Settings.
On this page
You'll need a Backblaze account. Backblaze updates its screens now and then, so use the names below as a guide, with Backblaze's own documentation for the latest.
1. Make a public bucket#
In Backblaze, open Buckets and press Create a Bucket.
Name it (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens). Set the files in the bucket to Public, so links can be opened.
2. Find the region#
Open the bucket's details and look for its Endpoint. It looks like s3.us-west-004.backblazeb2.com. The region is the part in the middle: us-west-004. VizShot asks for it.
3. Make an application key#
Open Application Keys and add a new one.
Limit it to your bucket, with Read and Write access.
Create it. Backblaze shows a keyID and an applicationKey once. Copy both. The keyID is VizShot's Access key ID, and the applicationKey is its Secret key.
4. Work out your link address#
For a public bucket, the usual link address is the bucket's Friendly URL base, like https://f004.backblazeb2.com/file/YOUR-BUCKET. The number after the f depends on where your bucket lives, so copy it from one of the bucket's own files in Backblaze. Another option that works for public buckets is https://YOUR-BUCKET.s3.YOUR-REGION.backblazeb2.com.
5. Tell VizShot#
Open Settings › Storage and pick Backblaze B2.
Fill in Region, Bucket, Access key ID (the keyID), Secret key (the applicationKey) and Link address.
Press Test connection, then Save.
